France declares war on Prussia
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Franco-German War, we look back at that war and and its legacy.
France's defeat caused a deep trauma in the country, marking the end of French hegemony in continental Europe and resulted in the creation of a unified and militarized Germany.
