March 2018: 100 years since the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk
March 2018 marks 100 years since the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk:

On 3rd March 1918, a peace treaty was signed at Brest-Litovsk between the new Bolshevik government of Soviet Russia and the Central Powers. The treaty concluded Russian involvement in World War I and herewith put an end to the battles on the Eastern Front, allowing Germany to devote their resources to a spring offensive on the Western Front.
