1934 - 1935 CHINA The Long March
'The Long March' is the name given to the military retreat of China's Red Army to evade the pursuit of Chiang Kai-shek's Kuomintang army in 1934/35. The route stretched from Jiangxi to Shaanxi and covered a distance of more than 10 000 km.
