William Shakespeare, April 2019 - 455th Anniversary of his Birth
26th April 2019 - 455th Anniversary of his Birth.

William Shakespeare (26th April 1564 – 23rd April 1616), English poet, playwright and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world's greatest dramatist.

Shakespeare lived a double life. By the 17th Century he had become a famous playwright in London, but in his hometown of Stratford, where his family lived, he was a respected businessman and property owner.

Shakespeare died at the age of 52, within a month of signing his will, a document which he begins by describing himself as being in "perfect health". No extant contemporary source explains how or why he died.
