Hans Baluschek (9th May 1870 – 28th September 1935) was a German painter, graphic artist and writer.
The painter, graphic artist and writer Hans Baluschek was a major representative of German critical realism, interested in depicting the life of working class people in Berlin.
In 1908 Baluschek became part of the executive board of the 'Berlin Secession', after 1920 he was an active member of the SPD. From 1929 to early 1933 he was director of the Great Berlin Art Exhibition.
